Easter Morning

Actually, the girls got their baskets early on Saturday morning. Sunday mornings are just crazy--especially on Easter when we need to get there extra early. So we decided to take Saturday morning to enjoy the goodies! The bunny brought not only candy, but also jump ropes, little dolls, and certificates good for going to the movie, Monsters vs. Aliens, at the theater! It was a 3D computer animated movie, and the effects were fantastic! The best 3D movie I'd ever seen! The storyline, however, left a little to be desired.

Then on Easter morning, Dan and I gave the girls gifts--new Bibles with their names embossed on the fronts. They were so excited! They enjoyed looking through them at all of the color pages of charts and maps, then looking up the verses the pastor shared during the service, and later looking up the Roman Road verses they were given in Kids' Church. They pulled them out again before bedtime to read some more! I asked Emily, who got up to Genesis 4 before it was time for bed, if she had any questions about what she read. She said, "Yeah.....what does 'bore' mean? It was in there A LOT!" : )

This morning as they were packing up their bags for school, the girls both asked if they could take their bible to school to share with their friends. That sure made this mama's heart feel good! I pray that they will always be so excited about God's Word!
