Look, Mom! No Training Wheels! : )

Meg had been begging Dan to put her training wheels BACK on her bike since she didn't think she could ride one without them. We had tried learning to ride in the spring (we're fair-weather bike riders), but she had a hard time catching on then, and Dan just never put the training wheels back on. So we decided yesterday that since it had cooled down, it would be a good day to try it again!

And guess what?! She got it...and I mean really quickly!

We went up to the park near our neighborhood that is just perfect for bike riding. There's a trail that goes all around the park with a nice wide pathway. She was so proud of herself!

Oscar joined us. He's got a terrible walking ettiquette--probably because the poor guy never gets walked. He liked to choke himself to death trying to walk me!






Finally, Dan took him off of the leash and let him Run Free!

Once back home, Dan went to run an errand, and Meg went right to work practicing some more in front of the house. She was determined to figure out how to get going by herself. Sure enough, she got it and couldn't wait to show Daddy what she had mastered! She made sure she was outside riding when he drove up so that she could show him her new skills! By dinnertime, she was plum wore out from all of her bike-ridin'! Guess where the girl is now? She's a bike-riding fool!
