Hurley the puppy

For Christmas, we got the girls a puppy. Of course, we didn't want to travel to TN & IN with a puppy for the holidays, so we decided to wait until after we got back to get him.

We wrapped up a collar/leash and dog bowl for the girls to open at Christmas. It took a few minutes, but they were so excited when they realized what their true gift was: a PUPPY!


This weekend we went to get the puppy. We planned to get another short haired dauchshund like Oscar, but since none were available until March, we decided to go ahead with the long-haired. And he is precious! He has his own unique look compared to all of our family's dauchshunds (we're a weinner dog family).

We named him Hurley after our favorite LOST character ; ) All of the names the girls recommended were vetoed (Brownie, Princess, Skipper....), so we thought it would be good to at least let them choose a middle name. That made them happy....so here's Hurley Skipper McCollum!
