Good-bye to Emma

Today is Emma's last day with us. She will be a big sister tomorrow : ) and will get to stay home with Mommy and the baby for a while. She has been like part of our little family for 3 years now. When she came to stay with us she was only 18 months old, but now she is such a big girl! My girls have really enjoyed having her around...just like another little sister. (And Meg very much liked being the "big sister"! Emily was always so very nurturing with her--she must get that from Dan :) We will miss her very much!

Emma is such a good little girl. She always played so well--even when the girls went to school and left her all alone--she still just played, played, played--talking all the while : ) She is also a very easy going little girl. She went with me everywhere! To the church to get ready for Sundays, to the girls' school to help the teachers or have lunch, to field trips, or to the grocery store...she did it all with such a good temperment!

Emma got to be good friends with my friend's daughter, Gracie. Here they are at their playdate, just this afternoon. Maybe Mommy will let me "borrow" her for more playdates so that they can continue to be friends.

Now I am going to enjoy being a full time helpmate to my husband and mama to my girls! I am really looking forward to that! My ministry at church with the nursery will surely keep me busy as well, so I'm not worried about getting bored! Maybe I'll even get caught up on my scrapbooks! ; )
